Some businesses are already paying to have Trump signs removed claiming the signs hurt business. It must hurt pretty bad since they paid to use the Trump name to begin with.

We could if someone published a list of Trump businesses partially or entirely supported by the public. It is a bit difficult looking up just Twump Ties and refusing to buy those! And most women already would refuse to stay in a Twump Hostel!

I don't think us common people can do anything by boycotting trump. I mean, those of us against him do already. It's mostly his fellow elites (and elite wannabe's) and other country markets like China that pad his family's wallets. Then you have GOP donors like oil and coal industries, gun manufacturers, tobacco, etc. that people are dependent, addicted, or brainwashed to keep using. The only way we'd starve trump or the GOP that could impeach him is if these rich jerks and companies suddenly grew a conscience not reliant on capitalism.

  • 22steve5150
    22steve5150 2 months ago

The GOP House members need to be taken to task over their allowance of the Trump family to massively violate ethics laws by using the presidency to directly enrich themselves and their family brands.....and for not forcing Trump to release his tax returns......and for not taking investigations into his campaign's dealings with Russia seriously.

It is CRUCIAL that we don't forget how repulsive and utterly unqualified Trump is. We can't get use to his behavior. We have to keep the resistance going and constantly remind ourselves and Trump (and anyone who will listen) that he works for us, not the other way around. Remember: there are more of us than them.

Breaking Donald Trump with a boycott is extremely unlikely. His customers are wealthy businessmen that likely approve of his behavior. So they are not likely to participate. He needs a sustaining blow to his ego to really break him. Clearly, the orange ape requires constant ego boosters.

Trump likes the way O'Reilly twists the truth, and his overt sexism was almost a template for how far Trump could go to emulate the sexism and thereby appeal to the basest base. I give it 1 month before Trump hires Bill to replace Spicer. Note that FOX didn't fire him for his lies or for the expense of dealing with his bad record with women. They fired him because the money dried up. When dark money stops funnelling to the republicans , that's when they too will suddenly get all righteously outraged by Trump.

Interesting. But let's remember something: Most businesses in the USA, unlike politicians, are beholden to a panalopy of customers- not including their own employees! So while a boycott did not do damage to Fox in the short term, in the long term it would have. However, politicians don't depend on sales to keep their jobs, and so many of them simply don't care about bad ethics and bad behavior.

Thanks, Keith. Sharing this, as well. I'd laugh, if it wasn't so sad. Bannon's Trumpie and their companions skim off the cream, Trumpkins drink the whey, augmented with the environmental poisons the former are inflicting on us, and the rest of us are left with the cheese. All under direction of Putin's FSB, and abetted by opportunistic (McConnell, Ryan, Nunes) Republican cronies. Six months ago, any publisher would have rejected a conspiracy-theory novel like this as too cheesy. But people are rethinking, you despicables!
