Fargo (FX) - Mr. Numbers and Mr. Wrench Theme

  • Added:  3 years ago
  • A great drum piece by Ryan MacMillan for Fargo (FX).
I couldn't find this anywhere on Youtube, so I thought I might as well be the one to upload it. No video to avoid copyright issues.

Whoever this is is damn near as good as Bonham in terms of feel and tuning. So fucking awesome.

Highly reminiscent of the drum track in "twin peaks". amazing homage. both are incredible shows.

I see J. K Simmons watching judgmentally from the suggestions panel but this is the right tempo.

Such a badass drum track. It immediately made me think of "Fuckin' in the Bushes" by Oasis.

The drummer must have been listening to a lot of Led Zeppelin/John Bonham. Bonham is all over the place in this drum piece. It sounds like a cross between the live intro to How Many More Times from 1970 and various live Moby Dick solos that Bonham did. Probably why it sounds so damn cool. Love it!!

It reminds me of the music from Me Myself and Irene where he's about to fight the guys at the gas station. A simple selection of "oh shit" music. Love it.

Not exactly, tee hee. But there is a song that sounds somewhat similar to it by Antonio Sanchez. Maybe you're thinking doors and distance? But no this is not used exactly as is in Birdman. Mehoymenyo. Mehoymenyomo.

+Ryan Macmillan A poster above says he thinks you were maybe influenced by John Bonham (not a bad thing) - I'm wondering if Joe Morello had any influence on your playing - which I thought was great BTW. Bonham certainly paid tribute to Joe Morello as one of his main influences.

Well remember Lorne said they came closer than anybody else ever did. I thought they were pretty bad ass. Remember Lorne is some sort of divine supervillain. Who only finally died after a mix of dumb luck, bear traps and like 5 bullets

I get you, but you should watch that scene, It is pretty awesome, it almost makes you wonder why it wasnt put in the show. You can find it under Mr. Number and Mr. Wrench opening scene.

    • 38Gaucho
      38Gaucho 1 year ago

+Iss I never saw that deleted scene. And, um, I'm inclined to say deleted scenes didn't "happen" in the story. So, yeah. One guy. They each killed half a guy.

    • Iss
      Iss 1 year ago

Didn't they kill 3 people, The guy who pissed at the bar who they threw in the icefishing hole, The store robber, and the store clerk. Those last two are in a deleted scene, although it is in the season 1 teaser. But now that you mention it they were kinda pathetic, they were made up to be these big hitmen, but lorne fucked them up easily. I wonder if the deaf guy who got out of the hospital will, come back in another season.

    • 38Gaucho
      38Gaucho 1 year ago

+Cookieboy70 Sad but true: Numbers and Wrench only successfully killed one person. At least as far as I can remember.

The song is completely made with drums, I think that's significant because Mr Wrench is deaf.  I'd like to think so anyways, it's a nice touch. :)
