He's old as shit. Many people would have been done with these public engagements and ceremonies 15-25 years ago. It's gotta be pretty brutal doing all that at 96, unless you're in the kind of shape that Jack Lalanne was. It's time for Phil to chill.

Prince Philip's politically incorrect sense of humor will be missed. My favorite- "If it has four legs and is not a chair, has wings and is not an aeroplane, or swims and is not a submarine, the Cantonese will eat it." Huzzah!

As a foreigner from a country in which the monarchy was basically killed off by invading countries, I envy the power UK had to protect the crown and their adaptability to avoid bloody revolutions. Sure they take up a lot of money, but there will always be the super rich that will maintain their "class" for as long as capitalism exists and wield power behind the scene. But what do I know. I just feel like the UK has it all. The monarchy did not prevent UK from becoming capitalistic or democratic.

I have seen some negative feedback from others who have been unjustly critical of His Royal Highness Prince Philip. I wish him well and a hope that he'll do the odd mistake of a humorous kind so that he isn't forgotten.

This man has fed on the blood of young children for years and years.Look at him,why does he look just like a Vampire in a movie? because all the royal's have had sex with young children then they killed them and feed on the young blood.why do you think he's still alive. The queen has blood transfusion's from young female blood .Thats why they live so long. This man is a German and his son Price Charles both are from the blood line of Vlad the impaler.Price Charles live in the Castle as we speak. You all should be ashamed of
thinking he's a good man.Do your research of this Family, all Pedophile's .Jimmy Savile was one of his best friend's.Jimmy would bring children to this family to rape and feed on.

Did you know Prince Philip has no brothers?  naa didn't think so.  Did you know the Head of the SS was Heinrich Himmler?  naa didn't think so.  Maybe you were thinking of Philip's sister, Sophie, whose first husband was in the SS.  That makes him Philip's brother in law not his brother.  You can't hold Philip responsible for who his sister married.  Certainly he visited Berlin to attend the funeral of his sister Cecile and Hitler was present.  Can't blame him for mourning a sister who died young.  To give him his due, he served in the Royal Navy with distinction in WW2 and none of his surviving sisters were invited to his wedding because of their connections to Nazi Germany.  There's a lot to criticise him for but stick to those rather than making things up.

    • handsoffmygun MF
      handsoffmygun MF 20 days ago

You're right, no need for a Monarchy dictatorship, Britain deserves a real democracy. The Whitehall papers, which the government fought against the release of, shows the Queen and Prince are using veto power over all bills proposed by the people's elected representatives to become law. If they don't like a bill, they simply veto it and it never becomes law. This means they dictate 100% of the laws that govern the people. Most times I'm sure they have a hand in the bills being proposed so they don't need to use veto power to cancel it. All that parliament and those MP's yelling at each other, is just a horse and pony show to fool the people into believing they have a democracy. They also still control the commonwealths and the Queen sent a rep to temporarily shut down Canadian parliament a few years ago when they were trying to pass a bill she vetoed. This government is just a dictatorial regime no different than Assad's government, he inherited the throne from his father. Saudi Royal family, and other Mideast dictatorships are also hereditary Monarchies. Only difference in the British Monarchy dictators are called Queens and Princes and treat the people better than the mid east dictatorships, but they're still dictators, because they dictate the laws that govern through veto power. Britain needs to take this veto power and give it to a head of state elected by the people like we do our president. They need to also balance out the powers by giving their 2 houses of parliament the power to override vetoes with a two thirds majority vote like our congress has the power to do. Only problem Britain has in passing a law to do away with the royal veto power, is the royals have the power to veto any bill proposing the abolishment of their veto power. I don't see them giving up this dictatorial power to decide the laws that govern, because their family has been ruling that empire for almost a thousand years. When your country has KINGdom in it's name, not a good sign.

Only problem with your head of state is you're stuck with them. You don't elect them, they're born into the position with dictatorial veto power over all bills, which they still use to this day. This means the laws that govern you and that you live by are dictated by one family. They'll let your elected reps pass bills into laws, as long as it meets their approval, but if they don't like a bill, they'll veto it and it never becomes law. Our US government was designed to give the power to govern, to the people. We elect a President that has veto powers, and we balance the power by having 2 houses of Congress elected that can override those presidential vetoes with two thirds vote. To keep the president from getting too much power, we have a 2 term limit. The UK should seriously consider copying our form of government and doing away with this Monarchy crap. Elect your head of state and give them the veto powers that the royals have. Give the 2 houses of parliament that you elect, the power to override this presidential veto power. I constantly hear people refer to the UK as a democracy, but it's not even close to being a democracy where the people decide the laws that govern them. They have the same hereditary Monarchy governments in Syria, where Assad inherited the throne, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq under Saddam, Gaddafi's former government in Lybia, Jordan, etc. etc. The problem with Monarchies is you never know who will be born and take over the reigns of the regime. Right now Britain has a good family running the show, but it hasn't always been this way. Back when our ancestors in the US rebelled and overthrew the Monarchy, they were a cruel bunch of people. They would throw you in a dungeon for speaking against the King, or writing literature criticizing him. I fear the UK is heading back down that same path when they enacted those hate speech laws, where they criminalize speech. Don't kid yourself, they didn't enact those offensive speech laws because they were concerned about you guys saying things and hurting each others feelings. They enacted these laws so they can have the authority to arrest people and groups that speak against that regime. You people deserve better than to have to live under this regime that stole your guns, in that "sell your guns to the government or go to jail" program. This is criminal extortion that was done against you people. If I told you to sell me your car or I'm gonna punish or hurt you, I'd be charged with criminal extortion or robbery by threat of bodily harm. They got your guns, not because of crime prevention like they said, but because they don't want you people to have the power to overthrow them. They're not worried about the shotguns or 22's, but they don't want you having military assault rifles, or high caliber semi autos. Millions of armed civilians is one hell of an army that could overthrow them literally overnight and they don't want to take that chance.
