This is why I keep on saying that the judiciary is to blame for all evils that Kenya is going through. The above named crook was arrested and taken to court in Mombasa, what did the court do? they let him go through a bond, now the same guy is back in the street this time around in Nairobi where he has been spotted breaking into people's cars the same crime he was arrested and charged with in the first place, but released! This is why the police don't waste time taking these thugs to court, they just finish them like what happened in Eastleigh!  Wananchi on the other hand they don't spare them either once they get them, they stone or even burn them to death, why? because most people in Kenya have lost hope with Judiciary. Look at the politicians, someone goes out there fakes documents and when caught red handed, he runs to court and the judge there sights politics in his judgement thereby blocking the police from arresting or prosecuting the guy, so one is left wondering how can someone commit a crime and instead of being punished by a judge the same judge protects him/her from being arrested/prosecuted by the police! I just don't understand this Kenyan judiciary honestly! Moses Kuria commits crime but does he even pays? No, why? the same judges let him go scot free through a bond and now he is even out there on the street campaigning!  That's why I feel the president when he says, "Mnataka nifanye nini, ni set up a firing squad at Uhuru park?" Because surely when someone steals say in a certain ministry, the biggest thing that the president can do is to fire the person, he cannot investigate corruption because that is done by EACC (which is an independent institution where the chairman and commissioner are vetted and given a nod by the parliament), He cannot arrest because arresting is done by the police (again another independent institution whose the police commissioner is vetted and given a nod by the parliament) He cannot prosecute because prosecution is done by the DPP (again another independent office) and lastly he cannot send someone to Kamiti because this is done by the Judges the same Judges who let criminals go scot free through bogus bonds like in the above scenario. So I will repeat here again, JUDGES ARE TO BLAME FOR ALL EVILS TAKING PLACE IN OUR COUNTRY PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

And who told you that I have been in states for five years, where do you get such crap from, I mean American justice is there for everyone to read but a knuckle head like you is so cheap that your bogus Oblangata tells you that you can only be in the U.S to talk about U.S, Si urevuke uwachane na ujinga nani, bure sana

      ntwana twakwa 1 month ago

Blah blah blah....another Kuria know it all again. You think you can teach people how the justice system works in the US after living in the states for Five years only? I know your type now. I always avoid people like you who come back home with a lot of usteto in their head but only githeri coming out of their brown teeth. If Kenya was the US, Uhuru and Ruto would die in jail since witness would have been not be intimidated and disappeared. Get a life wannabe jury, sijui attorney, rawya or whatever yu cor et.

And you know what, thats exactly how cases where exchange of cash has happened get closed and some Kenyans you NTWANA TWAKWA and BENSON GERALD included think and that is, its because the investigation was shoddy but thats exactly what the corrupt judges wants the majority to think and for sure they have succeeded because thats how you and some think. See, If today i do a crime in Kenya which has even witnesses and i have money, all that i will do is to buy the judge secretly and so come the court day all that the judge will do is just to bash the police telling them that they, the police didnt prove beyond any reasonable doubt and because of that they let me go! Unfortunately these Judges know for a fact that they are the determining factor and their words are final so if they are corrupted ending cases is as easy as ABC, just blame the police of shody work and let the culprit go, its that simple! The reason why in developed countries like the U.S its so hard to beat justice through corruption is because in their courts they have juries and these group of people are normaly randomly picked from different parts of the state then these group is taken to a hotel where they are not allowed to communicate with the outside world until a case is done and so the juries make decision squarely on the evidence and all that a judge does is just to cement what the juries has decided thereby making it very hard to corrupt the judge because if one was to go that route then that person has to corrupt all the juries plus the judge which will be next to impossible. So someone might ask whats the solution then? In my opinion any case that involves graft, Murder, rape and elections disputes should be done in a full glare of the cameras so that citizens can themselves follow and see for themselves if for sure its the police who did not do a good work or the judge.

I have a feeling that you blame the judges for botched up poor investigations that actually screw up many cases in our courts today. Blame the investigator for not doing there job well, blame law makers for not amending the laws that concerns us poor citizens security and only do politics in Parliament. I understand your frustrations but you have to look at the whole picture. We are in this together.

    • Benson Gerald

Unfortunately that your assertion is mistaken, judges only work within the law and they do not make the law. However I also know the level of our prosecution is so poor that they can never pass any test. Citizens are frustrated and thats the reason the lynch mob cases are on the rise. Poor investigation and evidence collection only helps the crooks.
